Bo came into our lives quite by accident. I had gone to a friends jewelry party and they had 7 Australian shepherd puppies. I was OK until I saw this most adorable blue merle come around the corner, I had never seen anything that cute in my life. My granddaughter, Taelor, and I came home and got grandpa – it was to be his dog. He had him named before we got out of the driveway to go back and get him.
We later found that he had Parvo. We almost lost him more than once. He was a fighter and pulled out of it. He was an amazing dog and companion, always loyal and loving, and was he loved!!!
He would get so excited when our kids or grandkids came to visit, all we had to do was to mention their name and he would run to the door with his stump of a tail and whole backside wagging. How he loved them. He became my walking buddy, we played in the river and on the snow and ice. He was grandpa’s constant companion in the yard and garden. He loved to ride shot gun in his pickup. We never went anywhere where people didn’t stop and say how beautiful he was.
His passing has left a big void in our lives. We are grateful to Home to Heaven for their caring ways to make a difficult time more bearable. Thank you.
We miss you Bo !!!!! Your family, the Hewett’s
